Something big is happening in Cuba, and it’s exactly what freedom-loving Americans have been waiting for. The Cuban people are spilling out onto the streets, not just chanting, but roaring for liberty. On night eight of these electrifying protests, the crowd didn’t just march—they took matters into their own hands. The Communist Party’s headquarters got torched. That’s right—the very heart of Cuba’s failed, tyrannical regime went up in flames. Tired of empty promises and endless oppression, the Cuban people are finally fighting back.
It’s about time. For too long, American liberals have romanticized Cuban communism, wearing their Che Guevara t-shirts and gushing about “free” healthcare that nobody actually wants. Meanwhile, everyday Cubans are forced to bang pots and pans because that’s all the regime hasn’t managed to take away. They risk everything to demand a simple taste of what Americans are supposed to have by birthright: freedom. That’s a real revolution, not the kind you see on college campuses or in woke think tanks.
Something else happened that should make leftists nervous. The Cuban crowds weren’t just calling for democracy or some feeble reform. No, they were shouting for real change and sending signals that reach far beyond Havana. Calls for freedom, for the end of communism, and even cheers for President Trump echoed in the air. Imagine—those suffering under communist rule are looking to the United States, not as an enemy, but as a symbol of hope. Yet you won’t see Biden or his globalist pals standing with these brave protesters. Too busy cuddling up to “progressive” ideas that failed Cuba in the first place.
Western elite media might try to ignore these protests, or worse, blame American sanctions. But you can’t blame poverty on a few trade regulations when the economy has been run into the ground by socialism. For decades, the left has promised paradise and delivered only misery. Now the people of Cuba have had enough. They’d rather risk their lives defying communist thugs than go back to being told what to think, say, or eat.
When you see courageous Cubans staring down the regime’s goons and setting fire to the party headquarters, it’s a message to every nation: Socialism fails. Freedom wins. It’s time for American politicians to choose a side—are they with the people demanding liberty, or with the power-hungry bureaucrats and globalists propping up failed regimes? Maybe next time a liberal praises Cuba, someone should ask: Why are desperate families risking everything to escape the ideas you want to import here?
