Republicans Hand Dems Victory in Florida After Epic Self-Sabotage and One Shocking Vote

Republicans just lost a mayor’s seat in Boca Raton they’d held for over three decades—and it happened by a single vote. Now, Democrats are celebrating, but let’s be real: it’s not because the people suddenly changed their minds and decided to embrace leftist policies. In fact, 60 percent of voters picked a Republican. But that didn’t matter, since two Republicans decided to run, split the vote, and hand the city over to the Democrats on a silver platter.

This is what happens when ego and infighting take over common sense. There was no run-off. The rules were clear. Whoever got the most votes wins, even if they don’t have a majority. It should have been a slam dunk for conservatives. Instead, Republican pride, personal grudges, or sheer stubbornness led to disaster. A recount is coming, but odds are it won’t fix the problem that some on the right created all by themselves.

This isn’t the first time conservatives have snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. Remember Minnesota? Al Franken became a Senator with just over 41 percent of the vote. The GOP lost because another “independent” candidate siphoned off votes that should have gone Republican. The result? A radical progressive in the Senate, all because of spoiled ballots and protest campaigns that go nowhere.

Too many politicians—on the right, especially—love to call themselves “principled” while ignoring political reality. They get swept up by consultants, personal ambition, or pipe dreams, and decide to play spoiler. What are the consequences? More and more critical races end up in costly run-offs, or worse, conservative voices get drowned out and we end up saddled with radical leftist leadership.

Politics isn’t a board game. The mistakes made by a few self-important egos cost real Americans their freedoms, their wallets, and their voices. Losing seats like this isn’t just embarrassing—it’s dangerous. Are Republicans ready to get serious, quit the circular firing squad, and protect this country from liberal incompetence? Or are we going to keep letting the left win with less than half the vote?
