Something is very wrong in the world when ships in the Middle East are pretending to be Chinese just to avoid getting attacked by Iran. You read that right. Commercial vessels near the Strait of Hormuz, a place where a huge chunk of the world’s oil moves through, are waving the red flag of China simply to escape Iranian terrorists. Apparently, telling the truth that you come from a free country is now a risk, thanks to weak global leadership and the cowardice of the Biden administration.
Let’s not kid ourselves—this isn’t just about ships or shipping lanes. This is about the loss of American respect, the collapse of Western power, and the dangerous rise of countries like China and Iran. Why are these ships suddenly renouncing their own countries? Because the world knows that China, for all its evil, gets its way. Meanwhile, countries once protected by strength and values are left to fend for themselves. Iran, one of the globe’s top terror exporters, picks its victims based on who it thinks it can bully—with no fear of repercussions. And these days, thanks to the Democrats’ soft approach, they don’t fear anyone.
Liberal policymakers lecture the world about “global cooperation” and host climate summits while their hands-off attitude lets authoritarian regimes walk all over us. Under this weak leadership, China grows stronger and Iran runs wild. Do these progressives care that European or American cargo could be targeted for destruction while Chinese vessels get a free pass? Of course not. They care more about appeasing Iran and making deals with tyrants than about protecting Western shipping, jobs, and security.
The hypocrisy is obvious. Liberals demonize hardworking Americans, truckers, and oil workers, preaching about green energy and world peace—but when it comes to real security on the high seas, their policies leave our people exposed. The same elites who love open borders and globalist deals now let China act as a shield for these vessels. It’s insulting and dangerous that the world feels safer under a communist dictatorship than the so-called “free world.” This is what happens when you let the Left run foreign policy.
This absurd dance in the Strait of Hormuz is a warning. When America loses its backbone and China takes the lead, even our allies suffer. Maybe the next time a ship raises a flag, it should ask if the Democrats or their globalist friends will ever show up to help—or if they’re too busy selling out to the highest bidder.
