When will the left finally stop making excuses for America’s worst enemies? Over the weekend, Ben Rhodes — a familiar face among progressive globalist elites — decided that now is apparently the perfect time to claim Iran is somehow “more credible” than an American on the subject of nuclear weapons. Yes, you read that right. The same Iran that chants “Death to America” in the streets is suddenly the gold standard of trustworthiness, at least according to Rhodes and his friends in the liberal media echo chamber.
Instead of standing with fellow Americans, Rhodes would rather side with Iranian officials over his own countrymen. He seems more interested in giving the ayatollahs the benefit of the doubt than calling out their lies and threats. Iran admits they have the ability to make nuclear weapons — and who does Rhodes side with? Not the people defending America. He’s too busy finding excuses for the regime that funds terrorists and vows to wipe Israel off the map.
Why is it that every time America faces a threat, liberals want to hand the microphone to our enemies? This obsession with finding “credibility” in Iran shows just how twisted progressive priorities have become. Rhodes and his ilk would rather coddle dictators than defend the values that make America great. Their desperation to seem “nuanced” makes them blind to reality: Iran’s nuclear ambitions are a danger to the whole world, and treating their talking points like gospel is downright reckless.
The truth is simple. Iran is not trustworthy. They have lied, cheated, and played the West for fools for decades. Pretending otherwise just exposes liberal incompetence and their willingness to sell out American interests for the sake of political games. Instead of holding our enemies accountable, Rhodes and his buddies play right into their hands, undermining American strength on the world stage.
This isn’t just about nuclear weapons. It’s about whose side you’re on — America’s, or those actively working against us. The sad fact is, too many on the left seem to have made their choice. When will they remember which country they’re supposed to be defending?
