The Hollywood elites are back at it again, throwing themselves a glitzy Oscars party that’s set to be the “most protected event in Oscars history.” Yes, you read that right—over a thousand law enforcement officers will be guarding the egos and designer dresses of America’s rich and famous as they pat themselves on the back for another year in their out-of-touch bubble.
Imagine the sheer hypocrisy. These are the same movie stars and directors who love to lecture everyone about defunding the police, open borders, and trusting violent criminals with a slap on the wrist. But the moment their own safety is on the line, suddenly the thin blue line gets rolled out in droves. It’s wall-to-wall security, armored limos, and barricaded red carpets—not a protestor or uninvited guest in sight. Funny how their so-called compassion for “the people” ends the second a camera isn’t rolling or a cocktail tray isn’t passing by.
This year, the Academy is making sure not a single hair gets out of place. More than a thousand law enforcement personnel will surround the scene, protecting celebrities while they spend the night celebrating themselves—never mind that regular Americans can hardly step foot in their own neighborhoods without worrying about real crime. Maybe if Hollywood cared as much about the safety of everyday citizens as they do about their own awards nights, cities like Los Angeles would be less of a warzone.
Let’s not forget how these Tinseltown elites will use the stage to lecture the rest of us between musical numbers and gold statues. They’ll cry about injustice, demand “equity,” and pretend California isn’t falling apart. Meanwhile, they’re hiding behind a small army, totally insulated from the chaos that their radical policies help fuel every year.
It’s a tale as old as Hollywood: rules for thee, but not for me. They don’t want you to own a gun or count on the police, but they’ll bring in the National Guard when their own backsides are on the line. Maybe next year, they should hand out awards to the police—they’re the real stars of the night, whether Hollywood wants to admit it or not.
