Energy Secretary Chris Wright says the government is acting to stop a temporary spike in oil prices. That’s nice. Maybe if Democrats spent less time flirting with windmills and solar panels, and more time drilling, we wouldn’t be at the mercy of Iran’s terror tactics. Opening our own oil spigots at home used to be common sense. Now, thanks to green crusaders, we’re constantly wondering if the next lunatic regime overseas will decide how much we pay to fill our tanks.
This time, Trump didn’t wait for endless committee meetings. American warships are already in the Strait, defending not just our energy needs, but the entire free world’s. Unlike the last few presidents, who were more interested in apologizing for America than standing up for it, Trump’s orders were clear: protect the flow of oil, and send a message to Iran that their threats are empty. While the military erased every key target on Iran’s Kharg island, the oil infrastructure was left untouched—as leverage, not weakness.
And it’s not just the U.S. acting alone. Other countries are finally waking up, sending their own warships to guard the seas. Maybe they’re following Trump’s lead, or maybe they finally realized what happens when the world’s oil is threatened and American leadership is missing-in-action under Democrats. Suddenly, the so-called allies who sneered at American power are running to us for protection.
Here’s a question for every liberal pundit cheering for diplomacy and green energy: are you ready to explain to struggling families why their energy bills are through the roof—because your fantasy world collapsed in the face of real danger? While the left obsesses over climate change, Trump is erasing the Iranian threat, protecting our oil, and keeping global chaos at bay.
Maybe it’s time for the left to admit what the rest of us already know: American strength—and fossil fuels—still matter. Or would they rather Joe Biden beg Iran for a few more barrels while the world burns?
