Why the Pope Refuses to Call Out Iran’s Regime as War Rages

When people look to the Pope, they expect moral clarity. Yet, once again, we get more of the same empty rhetoric. As war rages in Iran, the pontiff stands before the world and pleads for peace. He calls for calm, for dialogue, for the violence to stop. But not once does he point a finger at the real culprits—the radical regime in Tehran.

How can anyone ask for peace without naming the regime that started this chaos? It’s the same old liberal playbook: wishy-washy demands for “dialogue” and “understanding,” with zero backbone when it comes to confronting the monsters causing the mayhem. The Iranian regime has a long, sickening record of fueling violence, spreading terror, and silencing dissent, yet the Pope conveniently ignores that reality. Instead, he signals virtue from the safety of Vatican City, as if simply wishing hard enough will make tyrants change their ways.

This is nothing new from elites who love to parade their “compassion” but can’t muster the courage to call out evil for what it is. The left eats this up. They want us to believe that if everyone just talks, dictators and madmen will suddenly play nice. Meanwhile, real people suffer under the brutal fist of the Iranian regime. Where is the outrage for them? Why is the West—in this case, led by the Vatican—so terrified of upsetting tyrants?

It’s no secret that globalist elites despise strong American leadership. They would rather scold Western nations for “provocation” than stand with the innocent victims of Iran’s bloodthirsty rulers. When Iran funds terror throughout the region, and cracks down on women and minorities at home, the silence from supposed moral leaders is deafening. What’s the point of a Vatican platform if not to speak truth in the face of real evil?

Let’s be honest: calls for peace mean nothing if you’re too scared to name the enemy. True leadership isn’t found in vague speeches about dialogue and hope. It’s about standing up to tyrants and siding with the oppressed, not the oppressors. Until the Vatican finds that courage, the world will keep spinning in circles—with the innocent paying the price. Maybe the next time the Pope addresses a crowd, he’ll finally have the guts to say who’s really to blame. Or will the West keep pretending evil isn’t staring us right in the face?
