March Madness used to be about the best teams battling it out on the basketball court. Now? It’s yet another circus of woke politics, big corporations cashing in, and government busybodies shoving their nose where it doesn’t belong. Every year, Americans look forward to the games, the brackets, the underdogs—but now, it seems like the spirit of competition is getting smothered by liberal nonsense.
Progressives just can’t help themselves. Whether it’s rewriting team names, obsessing over “inclusivity,” or trying to make everything about social justice, the left always finds a way to suck the fun out of American traditions. They turn what should be simple entertainment into a platform for virtue signaling and identity politics. It’s no wonder families are sick of tuning in only to get lectured about issues that have nothing to do with basketball.
Meanwhile, the same corporate elites getting rich off March Madness are also the ones cutting deals with the government and selling out American values. These are the folks who talk about “equity” as they cash their giant checks and move jobs overseas. Instead of keeping the focus on the athletes, they hide behind progressive marketing campaigns—hoping Americans won’t notice the hypocrisy.
And let’s not forget, whenever there’s money and power involved, politicians swarm like vultures. They try to grab their share of the spotlight, proposing new regulations or taxes, all while pretending it’s for our own good. Liberals especially love to use sports as a distraction—something shiny to keep the public from seeing their failures in every other area.
This isn’t the March Madness Americans grew up loving. It’s a culture war battleground now, and every basket scored seems to come with an apology to the woke mob or a nod to some anti-American globalist talking point. Will we ever get back to a time when sports are just sports? Or is common sense completely benched in 2026?
