Hollywood—once the shining dream factory of America—has become a shell of its former self, obsessed with woke politics and petty attacks on conservatives. This year’s Oscars just proved, yet again, that the left can’t resist going after the Trumps, even when it’s as tired and unoriginal as mocking Melania Trump from the stage.
What did the so-called “comedian” Jimmy Kimmel do? He took a cheap shot at Melania, the former First Lady. Instead of celebrating achievement in film, he used his spotlight to make fun of a woman who spent four years serving her country with elegance and class—something Hollywood could sorely use. Kimmel’s routine wasn’t funny or clever; it was just a lazy swipe that revealed how obsessed liberals still are with the Trump family.
Of course, this wasn’t about telling a joke. It was about signaling to the Hollywood elite that he’s on their side—against conservatives, against real Americans, and against anyone who dares oppose the globalist agenda. It’s the same old strategy: distract from their failures, choke on hypocrisy, and mock the people who actually built this country.
Americans are fed up. People across the nation jumped on social media, hammering Kimmel for his childish attack. Many pointed out the obvious double standard—imagine the outrage if a conservative host mocked Michelle Obama or Jill Biden. But when it comes to Melania, all bets are off. Liberals believe they can say whatever they want, no matter how disrespectful or sexist, as long as their target is someone on the right.
This is why Hollywood is dying and many Americans have tuned out. They see the anti-American elitism, the open contempt for anyone who thinks differently, and the utter lack of respect for basic decency. If this is the best material Kimmel and the left can offer, it’s no wonder nobody is watching. Do these smug celebrities even realize how out of touch they are—or do they just not care?
