The silence from the so-called “feminists” is as loud as a thunderclap. Iran’s women’s soccer team faces threats and intimidation for doing nothing more than refusing to sing a dictator’s anthem on the world stage — and when they try to escape to freedom, the regime hunts their families like prey. Where are the marches? Where are the pink hats? Nowhere to be found.
Seven brave women sought asylum after standing up to an Islamic regime that terrorizes them for daring to think for themselves. But when the captain learns her family has vanished back home, she’s forced to give up her shot at freedom. This is not a free choice. This is old-fashioned hostage-taking, the same brutal playbook authoritarian regimes have always used. The “tolerant” left, the U.N., and their globalist pals have nothing to say. They’re too busy coddling tyrants and writing toothless statements to care about real women’s rights.
These women are living proof that actual threats to women come not from Republicans or conservatives, but from Islamic extremists—powerful men who use family as leverage to crush women’s souls. What’s more outrageous: instead of rallying behind these Iranian women, the progressive crowd in the West just looks away. They’re too afraid of “offending” Islam to speak the plain truth. But they’ll call conservatives misogynists for saying boys shouldn’t play on girls’ teams. How convenient.
Every time a woman in Iran suffers, the left’s hypocrisy is exposed. Liberals yell about “intersectionality,” yet run for cover when Islam’s brutality hurts women and children. It’s easier for them to scream about imaginary oppression in America than to call out real oppression half a world away. Weakness like this is exactly why regimes like Iran get away with it.
Meanwhile, President Trump was willing to step up and offer asylum when others dithered. Action, not empty words or hashtags. Maybe that’s the real reason the left hates him—he exposes their cowardice, their empty virtue signals, their endless double standards. Why do so many claim to care about women, only to stay silent when women actually need them the most?
