Ecuador takes on drug cartels with US backing while liberals whine and globalists panic

Ecuador is finally stepping up and fighting back against the drug cartels ruining its streets. And get this: the United States is actually on their side—something we haven’t seen enough in the past with our so-called “allies.” Instead of bowing down to globalist agendas or letting international bodies tie their hands, Ecuadorian leaders are dropping the hammer on these criminals. They aren’t waiting around for permission from the United Nations or begging for the European Union’s approval. It’s about time someone in our hemisphere remembered what it means to protect their own people.

Now, here’s the kicker. Instead of cheering for a nation trying to regain law and order, Colombia’s President Gustavo Petro is whining. He claims Ecuador is bombing cartel operations on Colombian soil—a story Ecuador strongly denies. But why is Petro so quick to defend the cartels’ turf? Maybe it’s easier for left-wing leaders to blame their neighbors than to admit they can’t control rampant crime in their own countries. It’s the same tired deflection we’ve come to expect from liberal elites: always looking for someone else to blame while chaos reigns at home.

What stands out most is that Ecuador isn’t waiting for woke approval. The government sees the threat, doesn’t flinch, and pushes back hard—even if it means getting their hands dirty. Compare that to American liberals who coddle criminals and call for “restorative justice” while our own cities spiral out of control. Ecuador is doing what our border states wish Democrats would let them do—fight real evil with real action.

Of course, the globalists and their media lackeys are clutching their pearls. They act shocked any time a country puts national security over international “cooperation.” But when you let international busybodies boss you around, all you get is more crime, more drugs, and more innocent people caught in the crossfire. Ecuador knows what matters most: their families and their freedom.

This should be a wake-up call to every American who’s tired of liberal handwringing and excuses. If Ecuador can take bold steps against cartels, why can’t we? Maybe it’s time our leaders grow a spine—or at least borrow one from Ecuador.
