The Republican Party is staring down the barrel of classic betrayal, and it’s happening right before our eyes with the SAVE Act. This bill, which President Trump put front and center, should have been automatic for a GOP that supposedly cares about election integrity. Instead, what’s waiting for conservatives on Wednesday isn’t victory—it’s another gut punch, courtesy of a handful of spineless Republicans who would rather cave to pressure than do what’s right for this country.
Let’s call out the main characters sabotaging us: Mitch McConnell, John Curtis, Lisa Murkowski, and Thom Tillis. You’d think when deep red states send “Republicans” to the Senate, they’d fight for common-sense policies. But apparently, that’s too much to ask. John Curtis is just another Romney clone—out of touch, weak, and completely oblivious to what voters want. Murkowski keeps switching sides when it suits her, even though she’s voted for these measures before. So, what changed, Lisa? Is standing with Americans just too controversial now?
Here’s the issue: the GOP never had the votes lined up. The plan should have been simple—force the Democrats out onto the field with a real, old-school talking filibuster. Make them defend their insanity in public, for as long as their lungs could stand it. But instead, we’re told it’s just too hard, it’ll take up too much Senate time, and “unity” is just too difficult to find. Pathetic. Conservatives want fighters—senators who will stand shoulder-to-shoulder and call out Democrat obstruction for what it is: blatant cheating and anti-American nonsense.
And as Congress dithers, regular people pay the price. The Department of Homeland Security is shut down. TSA agents are left with empty wallets, FEMA can’t help anyone, and Democrats are thrilled to hold America hostage. This is all over a bill that simply says only citizens can vote. That is common sense—unless you’re a Democrat or a Republican who’s forgotten what party they belong to. If someone is against this, just be honest—they’re for cheating, plain and simple. They want endless voter fraud, open borders, and chaos in women’s sports and health care.
This is the hill to fight on. Yet our so-called representatives can’t even get that right. Instead of exposing Democrats for insulting minorities and women—democrats claim they can’t even update basic documentation—the GOP is poised to hand them another win. It’s sickening. Leadership isn’t the problem here; cowardice in the ranks is. If Republican senators can’t even stand up for election security, how can any American trust them to fight for anything at all? The left doesn’t blink when it’s time to play hardball. Why are Republicans so afraid to win?
Maybe it’s time voters ask themselves: with friends like these in the GOP, who needs enemies?
