What’s wrong with these Republicans? The SAVE Act just squeaked through the Senate’s latest roadblock, a bill so simple and obvious it makes you wonder who could possibly oppose it. All it asks is that Americans show ID before they vote. That’s supposed to be controversial now? Apparently so—because Lisa Murkowski, the so-called Republican from Alaska, decided to stab voters in the back and side with the Democrats. Shocking? Hardly. Disgusting? Absolutely.
Let’s call it what it is: the D.C. elite will find any excuse to make sure elections stay as shady as possible. This bill should be a no-brainer. But RINOs and weak-kneed “leaders” would rather backstab their own voters than stand up to the left. Murkowski claims she supports the bill’s main points, but when the rubber meets the road, she folds faster than a cheap suit. This is why conservatives don’t trust half the people with an ‘R’ next to their names.
Meanwhile, Senate Majority Leader John Thune refused to go nuclear on the Democrats. He could’ve called for the talking filibuster and put pressure on every last leftist in the chamber. Instead, he chickened out. He let worries about “Senate procedures” and “Democrat amendments” take priority over election integrity. Newsflash: the other side is already playing dirty. They’re not negotiating in good faith. They’re looking for every loophole, every talking point, every way to rig the system and transform this country into their far-left playground.
And what are Democrats fighting so hard to protect? The right for non-citizens to sneak into our elections. If this bill is so unpopular, why are nearly three-quarters of Americans screaming for voter ID? The answer is simple: the Democratic Party’s entire election strategy depends on chaos, confusion, and bending the rules for their benefit. Don’t be fooled by the media’s crocodile tears over “voter suppression.” They’re only upset that someone is threatening their grip on power.
This fight shouldn’t be this hard. But when the GOP is busy stabbing itself in the back, what chance does America have? The moment the left senses weakness, they pounce. Republicans who side with them are just as much the enemy as the most radical socialists. If you won’t even defend free and fair elections, why are you even in office? Maybe it’s time to stop asking what America can do for these RINOs, and start demanding they finally do something for America.
