Now, the mayor—yes, that radical Zohran Mamdani—has turned St. Patrick’s Day into an anti-Israel, anti-Western protest session. Imagine the nerve: Instead of celebrating Irish heritage, Mamdani used the day to accuse Israel of genocide and promote his brand of left-wing grievance politics. He brought in Ireland’s former president to help draw a twisted comparison between Irish struggles and the Palestinian cause. Because nothing says “unity” like bashing America’s ally and playing the global victim card.
The hypocrisy here is hard to ignore. Liberals love to hijack holidays meant for unity and replace them with lectures about their pet causes. This time, St. Patrick’s Day—a day for Irish pride and celebration—was hijacked for political theater. Mamdani tried to connect “Irish oppression” with his narrative about the Middle East. What’s more, these liberals love to parade around as champions of human rights—until it’s time to call out the enemies of the West. Did we hear any condemnation of Iran’s regime or Palestinian terrorists? Of course not. Instead, Mamdani bemoaned American silence, as if moral clarity means taking the side of Hamas. He never misses a chance to attack the free world, and now he’s dragging the Irish into the mess.
Meanwhile, the former Irish president jumped right in, lumping together every global conflict she could think of, as if the world’s violence is all one big, Western-made problem. The message from these globalist elites is crystal clear: The answer isn’t defending civilization. It’s tearing down borders, undermining American power, and feeling sorry for everyone except the innocent victims of terror.
New Yorkers deserve better than a mayor who turns a day of joy into an attack on America and its allies. The city aches under rising crime, a crumbling economy, and now, a leader obsessed with pushing socialist, divisive narratives. The left’s priorities could not be more obvious. They’ll always side with anti-American agitators—especially if they get to virtue signal on the world stage. When will New Yorkers wake up and demand leaders who put America first?
