The shocking truth about the left’s love for the man who called humanity a plague

For decades, the radical left has bowed down to so-called “experts” who hate humanity. Take Paul Ehrlich, for example, the man behind one of the biggest lies of the last century. Back in 1968, Ehrlich wrote a book that basically declared people were the enemy of the Earth. According to him, starvation would wipe out billions by the end of the century, all because there were supposedly “too many” people. Spoiler alert: it never happened.

Liberals rushed to embrace Ehrlich’s fantasy while they ignored real science and common sense. Population bomb? What nonsense. Instead of starvation, the world’s food supplies grew, and more people than ever were lifted out of poverty. But try telling that to the doom-and-gloom crowd on the left. They kept honoring this guy, holding up his failed predictions like holy scriptures—even as year after year, his vision of chaos proved embarrassingly wrong.

Why? Because the left despises success, especially when it comes from hardworking families and growing economies. Folks like Ehrlich gave them cover to push dangerous policies—population control, abortion on demand, and restrictions on personal freedom. If humanity is a “plague,” then any attack on individual rights suddenly sounds noble. It’s the perfect excuse for big government overreach and globalist schemes that put America last.

It’s pure hypocrisy. The same self-appointed elites who weep about “overpopulation” fly private jets to conferences and preach at the rest of us about shrinking our carbon footprint. They want power, not solutions—and Ehrlich’s failed doomsday story lets them virtue signal while ignoring the results of their own reckless ideas. Meanwhile, American innovation, faith, and a love for life continue to keep this country growing and thriving.

The fact that leftists STILL honor Paul Ehrlich shows just how far gone their moral compass really is. Maybe they’re angry that he was wrong, or maybe they just hate being reminded that people—and freedom—always win out. If humanity is such a “plague,” why do they want total control over everyone’s lives? Maybe it’s time to start questioning who exactly is causing the real harm.
