The leaders in Washington keep wringing their hands over China’s rising power. Yet right now, a bold little African nation has thrown them a lifeline. Somaliland doesn’t just want to be our friend—they’re practically begging to help us keep China in check. But is anyone at the White House paying attention? Or will Biden and his crowd keep snoozing while our enemies move in for the kill?
Somaliland has guts. While so many countries bow to the Communist regime in China, Somaliland is standing up for freedom and choosing Taiwan over Beijing. That’s bravery America should back. We used to be the nation that cheered on those who defied tyranny. Now, under this administration, we’re told to play nice with dictators and look the other way when they squash democracy.
Somaliland sits on the Horn of Africa, a spot China would love to control. They’ve watched China buy off neighbors, build bases, and scoop up Africa’s minerals. Yet Somaliland wants to partner with America instead. That means a chance to build a new military base at a strategic port—right where the CCP fears most. This is the opening our military and diplomats have dreamed about for years.
But that’s not all. Somaliland could give us access to the critical minerals China has been hoarding. You know, the ones needed for high-tech weapons, smartphones, and electric cars—the same minerals liberals say we need to kick our “fossil fuel addiction.” Funny how they’re happy for China to hold the supply ransom but silent when a freedom-loving ally offers us a better route. Once again, liberal globalists would rather make deals with Beijing than support real allies willing to fight for American interests.
Ask yourself: do we want to keep letting the Chinese Communist Party call the shots? Or is it finally time for our leaders to stand up and seize opportunities, instead of bowing to communist bullies and globalist bankers? Somaliland has chosen a side. Will America do the same—or keep sleepwalking right into Xi Jinping’s trap?
