The Biden administration just can’t help but show where its loyalties lie—and it’s not with everyday Americans. The Treasury Department is now easing sanctions on Venezuela’s corrupt oil industry, all to pump more oil onto the world market. Apparently, when faced with war in the Middle East, Team Biden’s knee-jerk reaction is to help out one of the world’s worst socialist regimes, instead of ramping up energy here at home.
Let’s not sugarcoat it: this is economic clownery. The White House would rather cut deals with dictators and tyrants than empower hard-working American oil workers. Instead of supporting jobs and gas prices on Main Street U.S.A., Washington is handing a life raft to Nicolás Maduro, a thug who’s driven his country into misery and chaos.
Liberals love to talk about human rights and democracy, but that’s all talk—until they need more oil. Suddenly, Venezuela’s authoritarian nightmare is just fine, as long as global elites and their green buddies can still fly their private jets. Our own energy sector is left hanging out to dry, all because green activists and globalists have a chokehold on American policy.
The hypocrisy is blinding. Remember, the same crowd running this country has spent years attacking U.S. pipelines and drilling, all to please their woke climate mob. But the minute things get tough overseas, they crack open the door for Venezuelan oil. Americans get higher prices, lost jobs, and lectures about climate change—while foreign dictators get cash and a seat back at the big table.
Why should anyone believe this administration is on America’s side? They’re propping up a failed socialist, making the world less safe, and betraying American workers. Maybe next time gas hits $5 a gallon, someone should ask: who is Biden really working for?
