Every year, millions celebrate St. Patrick’s Day—a holiday about Irish pride and American tradition. Most folks use the occasion to enjoy some green, maybe listen to Irish music, and share a little joy in an otherwise gray political world. But apparently, that’s not enough for some Democrat politicians. They can’t leave a single holiday alone. Case in point: New York City’s Zohran Mamdani. Instead of letting people celebrate, he decided to hijack the day and push his obsessive, anti-Israel agenda on everyone.
Yes, on a day that should have been filled with shamrocks and cheers, Mamdani shamelessly made it all about the Israel-Hamas war. It’s like he’s incapable of talking about anything else. For him, the Palestinian “cause” must be dragged into every event, no matter how completely unrelated. Does Irish heritage matter to Mamdani? Not as much as scoring points against our ally, Israel, or painting America as the villain.
Let’s be clear: Hamas isn’t some oppressed freedom-fighting group. They’re open terrorists. They don’t just disagree with Israel—they openly call for its destruction and have made it clear that the West is also in their crosshairs. Yet radical Democrats like Mamdani cry “genocide” any time Israel defends itself, forgetting that the real threat is Hamas, not the nation fighting for survival. These progressives only embolden the very terrorists who celebrate every attack on American values and Western civilization.
What really makes this stunt hard to swallow is the left’s endless hypocrisy. Liberals love to call everyone else “divisive,” but then they take an American holiday and turn it into a soapbox for their anti-American, globalist nonsense. They shout about genocide from their luxury apartments while real people here and in Israel live with the constant threat of actual violence. Apparently, facts don’t matter when there’s a chance to bash Israel, denounce America, and virtue signal to their clueless base.
This is what happens when Democrats let the loudest, most fringe voices take over their party. Instead of focusing on the needs of everyday Americans, they obsess over globalist causes that insult our traditions and weaken our closest allies. If Mamdani and his radical buddies hate American culture this much, maybe the next St. Patrick’s Day, they should just stay home and try not to ruin everyone else’s good time. Will the left ever put America—and our allies—first?
