California’s Hospice Scam: Newsom’s Dirty Little Secret

It’s happening right under Gavin Newsom’s nose, and he just doesn’t care. While hardworking Americans scrape to pay their taxes, a group of fraudsters in California is making millions off a hospice scam that makes Minnesota’s mess look like spare change. And who’s enabling it? None other than the Democrats running the Golden State.

Independent investigators have shined a light on a stunning scheme: fake hospice agencies, set up with barely more than a PO box and an empty office, billing Medicare and taxpayers for millions. One “clinic” in California billed $3.1 million since last year—about $6,000 per patient—while operating from a secretive, unmarked suite. Whenever authorities show even a hint of curiosity, these fraudsters vanish, closing up shop and hiding the evidence.

Here’s the part that should make every American furious: Newsom was told about this in 2022. Not whispered hints—real warnings. Instead of cracking down, he simply paused new hospice licenses while letting a 1,500 percent increase in agencies run wild. Is this incompetence, corruption, or both? It’s no wonder California now hosts multiple shady “businesses” at a single address, all gorging themselves on taxpayer money.

But this is what you get with liberal leadership. Democrats talk about compassion, but their version of “care” is fattening the wallets of criminals. The law doesn’t seem to apply to their friends and donors. They would rather protect a broken system than admit their own failure. Meanwhile, honest families keep getting fleeced by Sacramento’s woke bureaucracy.

The truth is obvious: America doesn’t have a problem with too little tax revenue. The real crisis is waste and fraud leeching billions from our pockets, just so Democrats can turn a blind eye for political power. If California really wanted to stop this, an audit would have these fraudulent hospices shut down tomorrow. But liberals never go after their own, do they?

How much more of this will Californians tolerate? If Newsom can’t even keep fraudsters from turning hospice care into a cash grab, what makes anyone think he can run anything—except, maybe, his own next presidential campaign?
