Yet again, the radical left just can’t help themselves. Not even St. Patrick’s Day is safe from their nonstop obsession with bashing Israel. At a Gracie Mansion breakfast, where the focus should have been on the proud history of Ireland and its people, the mayor took every chance to reroute the storyline right back to his favorite punching bag: Israel. This is becoming a sick pattern from progressive politicians who treat every holiday, every moment of unity, like an opportunity to spread hatred and division.
There’s no respect—no appreciation—for what St. Patrick’s Day actually means. Instead of celebrating hard-working Irish-Americans, their faith, and their resilience, the mayor managed to twist the morning into another anti-Israel spectacle. And for what? Just to score easy points with an angry, activist crowd. Instead of highlighting what binds us together, this crowd is obsessed with tearing things apart.
It’s especially shameless when you think about all the praise thrown at figures like Mary Robinson, Ireland’s far-left former president. These supposed leaders love lecturing the rest of us about history and “justice,” yet can’t bother to stick to the topic—not even for one morning out of the year. The hypocrisy is glaring. They say they care about peace, but their one-sided rants only fuel more division—and make our city look ridiculous on the world stage.
Let’s be clear: this isn’t about showing solidarity with anyone. It’s about scoring political points and keeping the anti-Israel narrative burning hot. Liberals claim to stand for “tolerance” and “inclusion.” But when it really counts, they show nothing but narrow-minded obsession, shaming anyone who dares disagree. They hijack cultural moments, twist history, and turn celebrations into political theater.
New Yorkers shouldn’t settle for this. St. Patrick’s Day deserves better. Our city deserves better. Maybe if these leftist politicians spent less time fighting imaginary enemies and more time serving the real needs of citizens, we’d actually have something to celebrate. But don’t hold your breath—because for the radical left, even a day of Irish pride is just another chance to preach their favorite agenda. When will they stop using every tradition and holiday as a soapbox for their tired, anti-American rhetoric?
