Republicans are supposed to be the adults in the room. But lately, D.C. is starting to look more like a playground than the halls of Congress. Senator Rand Paul just tore into Markwayne Mullin, President Trump’s pick to run Homeland Security. The reason? Mullin’s got a temper and isn’t afraid to show it.
Imagine trusting the country’s safety to someone who could blow up at any moment. Homeland Security isn’t the place for hot-heads with something to prove. It’s supposed to be about keeping Americans safe from terrorists, drug cartels, and the open border mess left by Biden’s globalist friends. Do we really need to hand this job to someone who can’t even handle a disagreement in the Senate without turning red in the face?
Rand Paul’s not just raising a red flag—he’s firing off warning flares. He’s one of the few left who actually tries to keep this government honest. Paul knows we’re at the edge of disaster. Liberals spent years whining about “temperament” whenever Trump nominated someone. But now, when a Republican like Mullin loses his cool, the left is suddenly silent—or worse, cheering him on.
These D.C. elites want us to look the other way while the border crumbles and our national security gets tossed in the trash. They push for angry, unstable leadership, as long as it means giving another job to their friends. Democrats created the border nightmare. Now they want Republicans to clean it up with flawed appointments, then blame conservatives when things go south.
America doesn’t need another tough-talking showman squabbling in back rooms. We need leaders who keep their composure and fight for the forgotten citizens, not their own egos. If the Senate’s best idea for keeping America safe is picking someone who’s famous for picking fights, maybe it’s time to scrap the whole thing and start over. Do they think we don’t see what’s going on, or do they just not care anymore?
