This time, they hijacked what should have been a straightforward confirmation hearing for Markwayne Mullin—an actual public servant with a record worth discussing—and twisted it into a circus filled with wild claims about the Department of Homeland Security shutdown, tired 2020 election conspiracy talk, and their all-too-familiar attacks on Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
They had an open field to ask tough questions or challenge Mullin directly, but instead wasted precious time turning the event into a soapbox for their pet causes. It’s obvious why: Democrats have no credible arguments against strong border security or leaders willing to hold the line. They’re more comfortable smearing ICE agents and pushing their anti-American narratives than actually providing solutions.
When the left can’t win on facts, they pivot to fantasy. Democrats ramble about the 2020 election and ignore the border crisis that’s putting Americans in danger every single day. Their obsession with rewriting the past is only matched by how much they fear accountability—especially when it comes to the disaster at the southern border and chaos within the DHS.
Let’s not forget, this is the same Democrat crowd that thinks ICE officers enforcing the law are somehow villains. They’ll clap for open borders while regular Americans pay the price with rising crime and communities overwhelmed by illegal immigration. Their globalist fantasies are crushing our sovereignty, and anyone who dares to step up to the plate—like Mullin—instantly becomes a target for their political temper tantrums.
It’s time to see these hearings for what they really are: not serious debate, but a calculated, desperate performance. Democrats refuse to govern responsibly. They’d rather distract, disrupt, and divide. Maybe their real fear is that strong conservative leaders will actually get something done—something that will make America safe, sovereign, and proud again.
