The so-called leadership in Washington strikes again as Markwayne Mullin’s Department of Homeland Security nomination squeaked past committee 8-7. It’s one more sign the left is getting exactly what it wants: more weak-kneed bureaucrats in charge of national security—thanks to the usual clown show of RINOs and radical progressives.
Let’s look at the numbers. Rand Paul, never afraid to stand against the establishment, voted NO. Meanwhile, John Fetterman—the darling of the far left and a poster child for failed Democrat policies—cast the deciding YES. That’s right. America’s safety is now riding on the same guy who can barely string together a factual sentence to defend hardworking Americans. Mullin, a man with zero track record for actually securing the border, is being catapulted forward by the same left-wing machine that has let drugs, crime, and chaos stream across our nation for years.
This vote wasn’t about patriotism, public safety, or even common sense. It was about petty politics. Liberals like Fetterman are more interested in patting themselves on the back than protecting everyday Americans. They claim to defend democracy, but their real priority seems to be keeping the border wide open—a dream come true for globalists, cartels, and woke activists everywhere.
Senators like Paul see through this charade. He stood up against the rubber-stamping and swamp games. But when the chips are down, Democrat votes magically appear to prop up yet another weak nominee for a critical job. One has to ask: how many times will we watch these appointed figureheads get pushed through while Americans pay the price?
If conservatives don’t start fighting back harder against these hollow approvals, it won’t just be our borders at stake. It’ll be our sovereignty, our communities, and our freedom. How much more of this liberal incompetence are we supposed to swallow before we say enough is enough?
