Recently, Jennifer Newsom practically hijacked her husband’s press event to scold the media for not parroting claims about Trump’s so-called “war on women.” Imagine being so carried away by left-wing talking points that you steal the spotlight from your own husband. The spotlight, frankly, has been great for her bank account. Funny how liberal “charities” work—her pet project about “gender stereotypes” has paid herself nearly $4 million in recent years. According to her, if you go to church, believe in the nuclear family, or prefer men to be men and women to be women, you’re dragging the country into the past.
This is the same old playbook from out-of-touch elites who look at rural America, Christians, and conservative families as enemies. They use buzzwords like “woke” and “progress” while mocking anyone with common sense. Jennifer Newsom says California “has a responsibility to lead.” Lead us where, exactly? If the state’s crumbling streets, sky-high homelessness, and record departures are any clue, it’s a path straight off a cliff.
When Democrats talk about winning back the “male vote,” this is not how to do it. Middle America sees through these schemes. No one wants to elect a president—or a first spouse—who trashes them for clinging to faith, family, and tradition. And if Gavin Newsom can’t rein in his own wife’s culture war crusades, what makes anyone believe he could run a nation?
