Another day, another big union threatening to hold our kids hostage. In Los Angeles, the city’s school union is itching for a strike, scheduling their latest publicity stunt—a “rally” for the cameras. These so-called leaders seem more interested in playing politics than helping our struggling students, who are already years behind thanks to reckless, union-backed school closures.
It’s no accident that chaos like this happens in liberal-run cities. Democrats who control Los Angeles have always caved to union demands, no matter how outrageous. They talk endlessly about justice and equity, but when it comes time to actually teach America’s kids—to help families who just want their children in the classroom—all those pretty words go out the window. They’re too busy placating their voting base and bending the knee to union bosses.
Parents are fed up. Taxpayers throw billions at the LAUSD every year, and what do they get? Strikes, failing grades, and endless excuses from overpaid administrators. While hardworking moms and dads watch their children’s dreams get crushed, union leaders throw tantrums and demand more power. It’s always about what the union wants, never about what students need.
Meanwhile, those globalist elites and woke bureaucrats push “equity” and “restorative justice,” but don’t lift a finger as unions threaten to walk out. The adults supposedly in charge seem more worried about looking “inclusive” than making sure Johnny can read and write. But if a plumber or grocery clerk strikes, the left says it’s unacceptable—the double standard is blindingly obvious.
Why should America tolerate this? The Los Angeles union is once again proving that the far left cares more about politics and power than the futures of our kids. How many more students have to fall behind before these radical activists get out of the way and let parents take back control? Maybe it’s time we remind the unions: our schools belong to American families, not political bullies.
