When even the far-left TV talking heads start poking holes in the Democrats’ manufactured outrage over voter ID, you know the tide is turning. The radical left has spent years pushing the false claim that voter ID laws are somehow “racist” or “oppressive.” They cry that requiring citizens to prove their citizenship is just too much to ask. But that fantasy is crumbling, and now, even liberal media outlets are forced to admit it.
Let’s get this straight—the SAVE America Act isn’t some wild, extremist proposal. It’s pure common sense. It asks one simple thing: If you want to vote, prove you’re an American citizen, just like you prove your age to buy beer, cigarettes, or even board a plane. There’s a laundry list of documents that count: a passport, a military ID, a birth certificate, and many other options. Yet Democrats still gnash their teeth and clutch their pearls, acting like showing ID is an impossible task for anyone who isn’t rich, white, or blessed by the system.
The hypocrisy is off the charts. Take Roy Cooper, who moans about “sinister” voter ID laws right after he’s shown his very own ID to vote. You can’t make this stuff up. Democrats go out of their way to block voter ID at every turn, even when the majority of Americans—including plenty of Democrat voters—support it. North Carolina said YES to voter ID at the ballot box, but politicians bent the knee to special interests and globalist elites instead of listening to their own people.
Here’s the real issue: Democrats don’t want strong election security. They benefit from confusion, mail-in chaos, and loopholes big enough to drive a bus through. They hurl accusations of “Jim Crow” to shut down debate, hoping fear and division will keep their stranglehold on power. But common sense Americans see right through this. It’s not “Jim Crow” to protect the vote. It’s “Jim Crow” to undermine it for political gain.
Millions of Americans are sick and tired of being told they’re too dumb or weak to get an ID. If you need ID to cash a check, rent an apartment, pick up a prescription, or open a TikTok account, you should need one to vote. Period. Anyone fighting against that is fighting against American democracy itself. If the left is so confident the only way to win is by keeping elections open to chaos, maybe it’s time voters start asking—what exactly are they so afraid of?
