This week, Boasberg decided to quietly rewrite grand jury rules in Washington, all in the wake of the Justice Department’s failed prosecution against six Democrat members of Congress. Once again, the so-called impartial judicial system twists itself into a pretzel to bail out the liberal elite.
Let’s not pretend this move is for the sake of “accountability” or “transparency.” When President Trump’s Department of Justice tried to charge six Democrats for telling military servicemembers to ignore orders—something most people would call sedition—the grand jury wouldn’t go along. That should be a scandal all by itself. But Boasberg’s reaction is what takes the cake: instead of calling out this blatant disregard for the law, he makes it even harder for honest prosecutors to do their jobs by forcing new internal reporting rules—rules that, conveniently, will only come into play when cases against Democrats are at stake.
Why now? Boasberg has had plenty of time on the bench to champion grand jury oversight. For years, Washington’s justice system has let the Left run wild without consequence. Suddenly, the second Democrats face real scrutiny, he jumps into action to “protect the process.” It’s as if his main concern is shielding his political allies from accountability, not actually upholding the law.
Of course, Boasberg is careful to keep these grand jury failures sealed from the public. This isn’t about informing Americans. It’s another layer of cover—an insider game between prosecutors and judges that conveniently keeps everything swept under the rug. We all know if a Republican so much as jaywalked in D.C., the entire Justice Department and the legacy media would be screaming at the top of their lungs. But the minute Democrats are on the hook for telling soldiers to break the law? Suddenly, “confidential files” become all the rage.
The timing, the secrecy, and the double standard all add up. Americans can see exactly what’s happening. If you’re friends with the Swamp, the rules will always bend your way. If you’re a conservative, you’d better lawyer up, because the deck is stacked from the start. Is there any justice left for ordinary Americans—or just protection for the Left’s ruling class?
