Donald Trump just schooled the so-called “allies” of America—again. The Strait of Hormuz, that narrow stretch of water where a huge chunk of the world’s oil gets shipped, has always been protected by American power. And, as usual, our “friends” from Europe and elsewhere were more than happy to let our troops and our tax dollars do the heavy lifting while they sat quietly on the sidelines, sipping their lattes and complaining about U.S. leadership.
But this time, Trump had enough. He told them straight—if you won’t help defend the world’s energy highways, maybe America should sit this one out. That’s the kind of no-nonsense, America-first attitude we need, not the pathetic globalist hand-wringing that’s ruined our reputation—and emptied our piggy banks—for decades. For far too long, liberals let the rest of the world take advantage of our kindness while trashing us in the process.
Suddenly, after Trump put his foot down, these spineless “allies” changed their tune. They scrambled to issue their own statements, finally agreeing to send ships and support to the Strait. What a miracle: one tough American leader stands up, and the freeloaders actually do something for once. Anyone shocked? Not conservatives. This is what real pressure looks like—not the sniveling apologies we got from past presidents.
Ask yourself—why did it take a president willing to threaten to walk away for our supposed partners to get serious about global security? It’s because the liberal elites running those countries only care about their own political necks and cheap energy, not about helping America or the world. They know the U.S. will bail them out every time. Not anymore.
Let’s be clear: Trump’s strategy works. When the leader of the free world acts like a boss, the world listens. Maybe next time the left wants a “softer tone,” they should remember nothing gets done with weakness and appeasement. Do you really want America to keep paying the price while the rest of the world rides for free?
