We’re talking about $6 million in actual loss, not just play money. All that is the reward for a broken border system and a justice system that’s been asleep at the wheel, too distracted by woke nonsense and coddling criminals instead of locking them up.
Not surprisingly, the lineup of accused includes Iranian and Azerbaijani nationals—just more proof that soft-on-crime, open-borders California has turned Los Angeles into a ripe target for foreign crime rings. For years, liberal politicians have been more concerned with virtue-signaling, banning plastic straws, and letting thugs re-offend in broad daylight than protecting the life savings of hardworking Americans.
The details are infuriating. These grifters didn’t just swipe Social Security numbers. They built fake identities, forged bank statements, and even cooked up death certificates just to work the system and siphon millions away from elderly Americans who spent their lives contributing to society. A web of false documents, shell accounts, and sleazy impersonations—meanwhile, Democrats keep telling us crime is down and law enforcement is the real problem.
Law-abiding citizens see what’s going on. All the virtue-signaling in the world can’t cover the stench of liberal failure when you’ve got international crime rings thriving on American soil, preying on our most vulnerable. Maybe if California’s politicians cared half as much about stopping fraud as they do about drag queen story hours, the elderly wouldn’t be one hard-money loan away from financial ruin.
