But don’t expect consistency from the Left. Remember the endless lectures about “public accommodation”? The lawsuits, the venom, the outrage whenever a Christian baker dared to say no to a same-sex wedding cake? Back then, liberals demanded that everyone serve everyone, principle be damned, even if it trampled religious freedom and common sense. But when it’s a conservative politician peacefully ordering lunch, suddenly these self-righteous activists are just “taking a stand.” Their courage? Giving the governor the middle finger as she walks out the door. Classy.
Of course, the Red Hen saga is back again—just under new management and in a new state. Last time, a little Virginia restaurant became a hero to the woke mob by ejecting Sanders for daring to speak for President Trump. The media cheered as the owner painted herself as some beacon of resistance. Where’s that restaurant now? Permanently closed. Yet the lefties never learn. They’d rather virtue-signal for clout than actually run a business that welcomes people with different opinions.
What these progressive crusaders forget is simple: most people, especially in red states, do not buy what they’re selling. Arkansans are known for generosity, dignity, and honest work—everything the left despises and everything these restaurant owners just spat on. How long will their doors stay open now that half the state knows how they treat guests who dare to think differently? Maybe not much longer. Soon, these owners may find out that flipping off customers is not a great business strategy.
Here’s the real joke: the same people who lecture America about hate and discrimination happily practice it when it serves their power games. The left only plays by the rules when it helps their agenda. For everyone else? “Bake the cake” is just a punchline.
