Minnesota’s so-called “sanctuary” attitude just got a dose of federal reality, and it’s about time. An immigration judge is finally doing the job that liberal politicians refuse to do: enforce the law. The family of 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos, who entered Minnesota hoping for special treatment, is being deported. That’s not cruelty. That’s common sense — and the law.
This case shows just how upside down the left has made our immigration system. Democrats shout about “compassion” and “open borders,” acting like laws don’t matter. They’re more worried about feelings than facts, turning a blind eye while illegal entries skyrocket. But when an immigration judge looks at the facts and refuses their asylum claim, liberals scream injustice. It’s hypocrisy at its finest.
Minnesota, like too many other blue states, has turned into a magnet for illegal immigrants. Why? Because progressive leaders offer up freebies — driver’s licenses, public benefits, even legal shield. Regular Americans pay the price as schools, hospitals, and streets fill up. But it looks like the nation’s finally pushing back. The system is working – at least this time.
Let’s not get distracted by tearful stories. The real victims are law-abiding Americans, squeezed by crime, taxes, and cultural chaos. Enforcing the law isn’t just for show. It keeps America safe and sovereign. If we let emotions run immigration, we stop being a country and become a doormat for anyone with a sad story.
The globalist elite and their allies in the media will howl, but the law is the law. If families want to come here, they should do it the right way. America is generous — but we’re not stupid. It’s time we stop caving to open-borders nonsense and start standing up for our own. Why should any American apologize for putting our country first?
