The Colorado legislature just did what liberals do best: push through more rules that waste time, waste money, and step on basic American freedoms. This week, politicians in the Colorado House scrambled to pass not one, but two new gun control bills, just hoping no one would notice how fast they were stomping all over the Second Amendment. Apparently, when it comes to our rights, liberal lawmakers are in a hurry to take them away.
Let’s be clear. Gun control does not stop crime. It doesn’t make communities safer. It just makes it harder for law-abiding people to defend themselves and their families. Criminals, by definition, aren’t following the law anyway. All these new restrictions do is punish regular folks and turn responsible gun owners into scapegoats for problems politicians won’t actually try to solve. It’s easy for them to sit in their comfy chambers and sign away rights – much harder to deal with the real causes of violence.
And while they were at it, these same lawmakers tried to tinker with education and car licensing, too. It’s like they can’t help but meddle with every part of people’s daily lives. They just love making things more complicated, piling on more bureaucracy that regular Americans have to deal with. It’s the big-government playbook in action.
Let’s not ignore the anti-American agenda hiding in plain sight. Liberals in Colorado—and all across the country—don’t trust the average citizen. They want total control. They think regular people can’t be trusted to take care of themselves, drive their own cars, teach their own kids, or defend their own homes. This is about power, plain and simple.
So here’s the question: why do Democrats think more red tape solves anything? Maybe because it gives them more power over your daily life. Colorado just set the stage for even more government overreach. If this is the future the left wants, America better wake up before our freedoms are gone for good.
