Once again, Wisconsin’s liberal leadership proves they’ll pick big government over freedom every single time. Governor Tony Evers just stomped out a chance to slash suffocating regulations strangling the Badger State. With the stroke of his veto pen, he killed four smart, common-sense bills—the so-called “Red Tape Reset”—that would have finally started chipping away at a staggering 165,000 restrictions holding back families, workers, and small businesses.
Does anyone really believe these pointless rules protect us? Or is this just the swamp making sure it keeps its grip? Folks who actually build things, who work hard, who try to run a business in Wisconsin—those are the people crushed by bloated regulations. Guess what: Governor Evers and his Democrat buddies don’t care. They’d rather let unelected bureaucrats write endless rules than let citizens breathe free.
Liberals pretend to side with the little guy, but their knee-jerk defense of every rule and regulation shows where their loyalty really lies. Not with families trying to get by. Not with entrepreneurs risking everything. No, the Evers crowd cozies up to powerful state agencies and special interests that feed off government control. They whine about “public safety” or “standards,” but what they really want is to keep average folks in their place—under the boot of government paperwork and endless forms.
Hundreds of thousands of restrictions didn’t come out of nowhere. They pile up from years of liberal meddling, globalist trends, and a belief that only government “experts” know best. It’s no wonder Wisconsin’s economy limps along while red states leave us in the dust. Every time conservatives try to cut red tape, the left throws a tantrum. Why are they so afraid of letting people be free?
This veto isn’t just a slap at Republicans. It’s a slap at everyone who believes in hard work, freedom, and the American dream. Is there any hope for Wisconsin while out-of-touch liberals hold the veto pen? Or do voters finally need to show them the door and bring in leaders who actually trust the people they’re supposed to serve?
