It’s happening again in Washington. The Senate, always eager to play games with America’s safety, spent part of Sunday inching Markwayne Mullin—a Republican from Oklahoma—closer to running the Department of Homeland Security. That’s right. After a hearing that felt like watching a circus, full of posturing and drama, the Senate voted to shut down debate and push his nomination forward. Now, we’re just one vote away from this actually happening.
Of course, this move didn’t come without fireworks. Liberals on the hill, always so desperate to pretend they’re the smart ones in the room, dragged their feet and turned a simple nomination into a melodrama. Why? Because nothing terrifies them more than a conservative actually getting the keys to border security. For years, their policies have been an open invitation to criminals, cartels, and every globalist interest looking to cash in on a weak America. They can’t stand the idea of someone who might, for once, put America first.
Let’s be real. The Department of Homeland Security has been on life support under leftist leadership. They’ve tied our border agents’ hands, ignored the suffering of border communities, and let the American people down—all while scolding anyone who dares question their catastrophic open-borders agenda. For too long, globalist elites have run the show, interested only in pleasing the international crowd, never the hardworking American families being crushed by their failures.
Don’t be fooled by the “drama” in the committee hearing—it’s standard operating procedure when Democrats feel their power slipping. Mullin isn’t some radical; he’s a patriot who actually cares what happens to this country. Imagine what could change if even one person with a backbone got control over homeland security. The left is shaking in their boots at that thought, and they should be.
So, as the final vote looms, the big question hangs in the air: Will the Senate finally do something for Americans for a change, or cave—yet again—to the globalist, anti-American crowd? Let’s just hope the so-called leaders in D.C. remember who they work for, and it’s not the bureaucrats, the international “community,” or the next leftist headline.
