Liberals are at it again, trying to fix every problem by throwing our tax dollars at it—no matter how reckless the idea. Now, they want to hand wads of cash straight to parents who abuse drugs, somehow believing this will magically make families safer and happier. Let’s get real. Giving money to addicts isn’t a solution; it’s a recipe for disaster.
Child welfare used to mean protecting kids from dangerous situations. But for activists and the left-wing media, government workers are now the villains, not the raging parents on drugs. They see any move to protect children as “government overreach,” and they whine that the real crime is taking kids out of those filthy homes in the first place. Apparently, in their upside-down world, a child’s right to safety comes second to a parent’s so-called “freedom” to ruin their own life.
The liberal crowd insists that giving cash to every family—even to parents with drug problems—will magically fix poverty and keep families together. They say money will buy food, pay bills, and solve abuse. But ask anyone with common sense: When an addict gets a handout, does that money really feed the kids? Or does it fuel another binge? Spoiler alert: Hungry children aren’t going to eat hundred-dollar bills.
Globalists, progressives, and anti-American elites love to talk about “equity” and “compassion.” But their version of compassion keeps desperate children stuck with parents who can’t take care of them—blaming the system when those kids suffer. Meanwhile, regular Americans know the truth. Government handouts to drug addicts don’t fix broken families. They just help broken parents buy more drugs, while their kids pay the price.
It’s not cruel to expect adults to act like adults. If the best plan liberals can come up with is handing cash to junkies instead of stepping in to protect kids, maybe it’s time for them to take a hard look in the mirror. When did protecting children take a backseat to political correctness? The next time progressives claim “cash for addicts” is the answer, try asking them if they’d leave their own children in that house. Didn’t think so.
