NYC Mayor Parties at Rikers for Ramadan While Crime Victims Are Left Behind

Democrat socialists never fail to show where their loyalty lies—and it’s not with law-abiding Americans. Just look at what New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani decided to do for Ramadan. Did he spend the holy month comforting victims of assaults, robberies, and drug deals that plague the city? Nothing of the sort. Instead, he waltzed right into Rikers Island to celebrate with criminals and suspects locked up for crimes against the very people he’s supposed to protect.

This is what “progressive leadership” looks like in today’s America. The mayor bends over backward to embrace criminals, making sure they’re well-fed and warmly welcomed during their observances. Meanwhile, crime victims are ignored, left to pick up the pieces of their shattered lives while Mamdani enjoys his photo ops with the so-called misunderstood “incarcerated.” This is the twisted definition of justice in blue-state America—where the rights and comforts of lawbreakers come first.

It’s pure hypocrisy. The same liberals lecturing Americans on “accountability” and “equity” can’t be bothered to spend a minute with families injured or traumatized by the very criminals they now treat like honored guests. Instead, they parade around these jails, almost proud of their compassion for lawbreakers. Where’s their compassion for the taxpayers footing the bill for this circus? Where’s the justice for the elderly woman assaulted on the subway or the store owners robbed for the tenth time this year?

Let’s not kid ourselves. Events like these aren’t about faith or charity—they’re about pushing a hard-left agenda that paints criminals as victims and Americans as the villains. While Mamdani is busy catering to globalist interests and radical activists, regular New Yorkers are left with skyrocketing crime, crumbling neighborhoods, and a city that feels less safe by the day. Liberals want us to believe this is “progress,” but it’s just chaos disguised as tolerance.

Maybe next time the mayor feels like sharing a meal, he should do it with the people traumatized by crime—if he can even find the time between photo ops and virtue-signaling. Or is caring for everyday Americans just too much to ask from the left?
