A tragedy unfolded at LaGuardia Airport on Sunday night—one that should never have happened in the first place. An Air Canada plane crashed right into a Port Authority fire truck, killing both pilots and sending 41 people to the hospital. What on earth is happening to our country’s basic safety standards?
Let’s face it, stories like this don’t come out of nowhere. America used to lead the world in transportation safety. Now, thanks to liberal mismanagement and broken priorities, chaos rules the day. Airports have become political playgrounds for city officials who care more about appeasing activist groups than actually protecting lives. Meanwhile, basic coordination between ground crews and air traffic control seems to be falling apart.
It’s also worth asking why a foreign airline like Air Canada is even experiencing disasters on American soil. The globalist crowd insists on opening our airports and infrastructure to international carriers, but when tragedy strikes, it’s American families who pay the price. Will anyone on the left stand up and demand accountability? Or will they just deflect blame again like they always do?
The Port Authority, run by liberal city bureaucrats, is supposed to keep these situations under control. Clearly, they failed—big time. Instead of celebrating “progressive” hiring policies and endless diversity training, maybe airport officials should focus on preventing deadly collisions between jets and emergency vehicles. Is that too much to ask?
This catastrophe at LaGuardia is just another stark warning: when liberals are in charge, safety takes a back seat to political correctness. Two dead pilots and dozens wounded prove, once again, that American lives are put at risk by leaders who care more about their image than about doing the actual job. How many more innocent people have to die before someone in charge finally takes responsibility?
