There’s a reason America became a world leader—ordinary men rising up, building something truly great from scratch, chasing excellence no matter what elites or bureaucrats had to say. Jeff Webb was one of those men. While the left is busy tearing down everything that makes this country strong, Webb quietly shaped an industry, launched countless careers, and inspired fierce pride and discipline in American youth. Now, all of that spirit has lost a champion after his tragic and sudden death while simply enjoying the game of pickleball at 76.
Webb wasn’t just another CEO chasing woke points. He saw real value in hard work, tradition, and pushing young people to do their absolute best—values that leftists either attack or ignore. Anyone looking at today’s education mess can see why America needed more men like Webb, not fewer. Under his leadership, Varsity Spirit became the gold standard for competitive cheerleading, and he did it without begging for bailouts or apologizing for success. He built a movement that rewards excellence, not victimhood.
Contrast that with the virtue-signaling crowd on the left, who would rather hand out trophies for just showing up. The radical progressives preach “equity” while stomping out real achievement—exactly the opposite of what Webb represented. Instead of safe spaces and lower standards, Webb inspired grit and teamwork. He created opportunities for thousands, teaching a generation how to win and, yes, how to lose gracefully when the results didn’t go their way—a concept that’s now practically banned in any liberal-run school district.
And let’s not forget that conservative voices like Charlie Kirk credit Webb as a mentor. Of course the left hates that. They just can’t stand men who actually shape minds instead of parroting globalist talking points. Liberals claim to care about kids, but what have they ever built besides bloated bureaucracies and safe spaces? Webb showed what happens when you set the bar high—not only do people rise to meet it, they exceed expectations, time and time again.
With Webb gone, America has lost an architect of excellence, another giant who believed in the promise of individual achievement. How many of his kind do we have left, when every institution is under assault from social justice nonsense and anti-American propaganda? Maybe it’s time more people—especially those running the country—looked to leaders like Jeff Webb for inspiration. When was the last time a leftist built something this lasting, this meaningful, or this unapologetically American?
