California just can’t help itself. Now, in the Golden State’s latest episode of left-wing failure, House Oversight is digging into massive fraud in California’s so-called hospice programs. When Democrats run the show, the bottom line always takes a back seat to virtue-signaling. Taxpayers wind up footing the bill while career bureaucrats pat themselves on the back for being “compassionate.” But isn’t it amazing how fraud and waste keep showing up wherever liberal policies are in control?
Who’s surprised? No one should be. This isn’t Minnesota all over again—it’s worse. Remember last year, when the cracks in Minnesota’s system started to show and billions of dollars simply vanished? The Biden cheerleaders in Sacramento must have taken notes, because now our money is going up in smoke in California, too. The left loves to talk about helping people, but somehow their “help” always includes draining the taxpayer and making sure their friends get rich on our dime.
President Trump sounded the alarm long ago. He called out these corrupt liberal strongholds for their failure to protect taxpayers and their willingness to let fraud run free—so long as progressive programs get bigger budgets. In blue states, if you shout “equity” or “compassion” loud enough, apparently nobody bothers to check the paperwork. Is it really compassion to steal from working families just to keep failed programs afloat?
Let’s be real: California’s leaders love to talk about transparency, but all they offer is a fog of incompetence and backroom deals. Every time conservatives point out the rot, the usual crowd screams “racism!” or “xenophobia!”—as if caring about where your hard-earned money goes is a crime. Maybe if liberals worried half as much about criminal abuse as they do about their woke image, we wouldn’t have to send in the feds to clean up their mess.
America deserves better. Our seniors, our sick—all of us—deserve programs that actually work, not another endless progressive money pit full of fraud. But as long as California is run by bureaucrats more loyal to globalist NGOs than their own taxpayers, waste and corruption will thrive. Are we really supposed to trust these people with anything, when they can’t even keep basic programs honest?
