President Trump is right, and it’s about time Republicans started listening. Why should the GOP even consider working with Democrats on a deal to fund the Department of Homeland Security unless those same Democrats agree to protect our elections? The SAVE America Act lays it out plain and simple: Americans should prove they’re citizens and show photo ID before they vote. It’s basic common sense, and anybody who’s against it is showing their true, un-American colors.
Democrats keep crying that requiring voter ID is “oppressive” or “racist,” but no one believes that garbage anymore. You need ID to board a plane, buy a beer, or even get into some concerts. But when it comes to protecting our elections, suddenly liberals say it’s too much to ask. That’s not just nonsense—it’s an open invitation for fraud. If these globalist puppets really believed in democracy, they’d jump at the chance to secure our vote. Instead, they’re terrified. What do they have to hide?
Let’s call out Democratic hypocrisy for what it is. The left screams about “threats to democracy” whenever their power is challenged. Yet, when asked to support the most basic safeguard—preventing non-citizens and cheaters from voting—they throw a tantrum. Maybe they don’t want fair elections after all. Maybe they want to keep the floodgates open to anyone willing to pull the lever for their failed, woke agenda.
And now, they expect Senate Republicans to play along, to sign off on restoring funding for the very agency in charge of our borders and security, while refusing to protect one of the most sacred rights in America. Who benefits from this insanity? Not the hardworking people who follow the laws, pay the taxes, and expect their voices to count. Not the millions of legal immigrants who became citizens the right way, only to see their votes watered down by Democrat deceit.
Republicans need to stand strong for once. No more caving to the left’s demands. If Democrats won’t agree to basic voter protections, they don’t deserve a dime. Pass the SAVE America Act or forget about funding DHS. If Democrats are truly on the side of the people, what are they so afraid of—an honest election?
