LaGuardia carnage exposes deadly failures of liberal city leadership

A horrifying scene unfolded this week at LaGuardia Airport—a major gateway into the so-called “greatest city in the world.” Two dedicated flight crew members lost their lives, and over forty innocent people landed in the hospital, all because of a tragic runway crash. It happened late Sunday night, but nobody’s asking the tough questions about why danger keeps lurking right under our noses at these “world class” airports.

Let’s not pretend these are freak accidents that exist in a vacuum. LaGuardia is a perfect symbol of everything that’s wrong with liberal-run cities. Billions poured into fancy projects, endless talk about equity and climate change, but when it comes to basic safety and infrastructure, it’s always chaos and disaster. Where does all that taxpayer money go? Clearly not to keeping planes and passengers safe.

How many more people have to get hurt before the so-called “leaders” running these blue states take responsibility? Instead of focusing on border security, crime prevention, or keeping airports secure, Democrats are too busy virtue signaling and lining the pockets of globalist donors. Real Americans end up paying the price—sometimes, as we saw Sunday, with their lives.

The mainstream media will talk endlessly about the tragedy. Hollywood celebrities will tweet their sympathy and move on. But how many left-wing politicians will demand real change? When conservatives demand stronger oversight, union bosses and bureaucrats cry foul, terrified someone might actually hold them accountable for once.

This is what happens when priorities are so out-of-whack. New Yorkers deserve safety, not lectures about carbon footprints. Americans deserve airports that run right, not tangled messes hiding behind excuses and political spin. Maybe it’s time to stop handing control to the same crowd that’s failed us again and again. How many people have to get hurt before common sense makes a comeback?
