Liberals are throwing another tantrum over campus carry, but what else is new? They’d rather see law-abiding adults disarmed and helpless than admit the real problem. Look at college campuses across this country—old and young, veterans, parents, even grandparents trying to better themselves. These are grown adults who’ve handled responsibility for decades. Now they’re told to sit like ducks because a few squeamish progressives can’t handle the idea of freedom.
The anti-gun crowd loves to shout about tragedies and wave the bloody shirt of Parkland any time someone challenges their agenda. But what they never mention is how all those “common-sense” gun laws failed to stop actual killers. Take what happened at Old Dominion University: a terror supporter walks onto a so-called “gun-free zone” with a weapon he never should have had in the first place. The law did nothing except ensure the innocent were disarmed targets—until an ROTC student took out the threat. This is reality, not theory.
Law-abiding citizens are not the danger. They never have been. The real threat is criminals and terrorists who laugh at gun-free zone signs. Florida and other states are finally recognizing that responsible adults shouldn’t have to choose between personal safety and higher education. Yet, liberals jump to protect the feelings of criminals instead of the lives of students. It’s total insanity, and everyone knows it deep down.
The real tragedy of situations like Parkland isn’t just a murderous lunatic, but the system protecting him. The killer’s violent history was ignored. Law enforcement looked the other way. The politically correct left, obsessed with not hurting anyone’s feelings, let a powder keg walk the halls. Then they blame guns and punish every law-abiding Floridian for their own failures. It’s so predictable it’s almost boring.
Let’s get real: No law ever stopped a hardened criminal hellbent on chaos. You stop evil with courage and firepower. That’s the American way. Liberals can cry “unconscionable” all they want. Maybe if they showed that much outrage over coddling violent felons, innocent lives wouldn’t keep getting shattered. Why should the law-abiding be left defenseless just to make the left feel a little safer in their delusions?
