Socialism: The Utopia Where Only Elites Are Free
Here’s the latest reality check for anyone still buying what the socialists are selling: socialism is nothing but a playground for leftist elites while the everyday person pays the price. That’s not a theory—it’s playing out right now in Cuba. While the people face blackouts, empty refrigerators, and crumbling homes, a group of privileged Americans and Europeans fly in to party and lecture the locals about why they shouldn’t want freedom.
Look at these so-called champions of the working class: streaming celebrities, woke activists, and the children of politicians. They land in Havana, check into luxury hotels, and throw raucous concerts—meanwhile, millions of Cubans sit in darkness for the third time in a month. The country’s power grid, already on the brink thanks to decades of socialist mismanagement, can’t handle the surge. Hospitals lose electricity. Sick Cubans on life support die. That’s the real “progress” socialism brings.
But the hypocrisy doesn’t end there. The ones always screaming about “equity” and “justice” are the first to gorge on five-star meals, strut around in shirts that cost more than a Cuban family will see in a year, and demand starving children dance for scraps just so they can pat themselves on the back. All the while, they point fingers at America, ranting about “imperialism,” when their beloved revolution has done nothing but stomp regular people into the dirt.
This is the natural outcome of socialism—and don’t let the left fool you. Socialism has always been “for the people” in name only. The insiders, the influencers, the cronies, get art studios and teaching jobs and endless privilege. Everyone else is sent out to toil for rations in the fields or rot in decaying apartments, hoping the lights stay on. Socialism promises equality, but only delivers equal misery—except for the rulers, who get more than ever.
The truth is simple: the left doesn’t hate poverty. They just want control—and as long as they have their $700 shirts and champagne parties, they’re happy to let everyone else fight for cold beans in a blackout. These aren’t mistakes or failures. This is the plan. Cuba isn’t an exception—it’s the rule. Americans better pay attention, because if the left gets its way, “socialism for the rest of us” soon means exactly that—breadlines and blackouts for everyday people, while the elite party on. Is this really the “progress” anyone wants?
