The War on Free Speech Just Took Another Blow—Thanks to the Supreme Court
Liberals love to talk about tolerance—until they hear something they don’t like. Just look at what happened to a pro-life street preacher in Mississippi. He had the “audacity” to stand outside a city amphitheater and speak his mind about the horror of abortion. The city’s response? Shut him up, shove him into a “protest zone,” and haul him off like a criminal just because his message made them uncomfortable.
Officials claimed they were just keeping the noise down, but that’s a pathetic excuse. They didn’t want their crowd seeing images of aborted babies or hearing the truth about what goes on in abortion clinics. Instead of protecting the First Amendment, they protected people’s feelings—and that’s not how things work in America. The preacher didn’t attack anyone. He wasn’t chasing people down. He simply stood on public property with a loudspeaker and some tough words. In the Land of the Free, that’s supposed to be allowed—even if some “progressives” can’t handle it.
When the city arrested him for refusing to move to their so-called “protest zone,” it was crystal clear what was happening. They weren’t interested in peace and quiet—they were terrified that someone might actually listen and wake up. So they paraded him through the courts, gave him probation, and fined him for speaking the truth.
But here’s the good news: the Supreme Court just slapped down this local tyranny. They ruled that the preacher can keep fighting the law that tried to silence him, no matter what the lower courts or city officials think. This decision is a massive win for conservatives, Christians, and anyone sick of being pushed to the edge by woke bureaucrats and leftist control freaks.
Let’s face it—if the left had their way, every voice that challenges abortion or the progressive agenda would be locked in a “free speech pen” far away from the rest of America. They know their ideas can’t stand up to the light, so they hide behind rules, fines, and intimidation. If calling out evil on a street corner is now a crime, who’s really in charge—our Constitution or the loudest whiners in city hall? That’s a question every real American should be asking.
