Tragic LaGuardia Crash Exposes How Liberal Incompetence and Woke Priorities Are Putting Lives at Risk

There’s a reason Americans are losing faith in the so-called “experts” in charge of our public safety. The gut-churning tragedy at LaGuardia Airport is a textbook case of big government bloat colliding—literally—with common sense. What do we see? A busy airport in one of America’s biggest cities, a Canadian jet packed with unsuspecting passengers, and an apparent lack of any real oversight. Two pilots dead. Dozens hurt. All because of sheer incompetence.

Let’s not mince words: This never should’ve happened. Our airports are supposed to be some of the safest places on Earth. Instead, thanks to the typical bureaucratic mess and lack of accountability, a routine landing turned into a nightmare. An Air Canada Express plane, operated by Jazz Aviation, was coming in from Montreal. But out on the runway, a Port Authority fire truck somehow ended up in the path of that jet. It’s not an “accident” when trained professionals can’t do the most basic part of their jobs—keep runways clear when planes are landing. That’s reckless.

This disaster is more proof that big government can’t manage what it promises. Liberals love their piles of regulations and endless layers of useless oversight—but what good are all those rules if no one’s paying attention? With their diversity hires and woke priorities, agencies forget about actual safety. Instead, Americans pay the price for their distraction and virtue signaling. Who’s really watching the store here? Certainly not the bureaucrats padding their pockets while real people suffer.

It’s hard to ignore that this happened during a time when our major institutions are more concerned with appearances than results. They’d rather talk about “inclusion” and “equity” than make sure jets don’t crash into fire trucks. That’s the twisted reality of modern liberal governance—lots of talk, zero competence. And who’s responsible? Wait long enough and we’ll see politicians shrug, blame the weather, or just pretend this is “business as usual.”

New Yorkers deserve better. Americans deserve better. Maybe it’s time to remember that safety isn’t just a buzzword—it’s life or death. Instead of more empty promises or expensive PR campaigns promoting globalist interests, maybe it’s time to clean house and demand leaders who actually care about American lives. Or will the people in charge simply shrug this off and wait for the next catastrophe?
