The details are still rolling in, but here’s what we all know: crime is out of control in our nation’s capital, and the leftists running the city seem more interested in protecting criminal rights than supporting law enforcement.
Remember when Democrats promised us safer cities and “community-based solutions”? All we’ve witnessed is a surge in violence, a soaring body count, and our brave officers being sent into the lion’s den with fewer resources and less respect. Politicians keep blaming everything but their own miserable policies. They love virtue-signaling and tweeting #BackTheBlue when it’s convenient, but their actions tell a different story—they’d rather pander to radical activists than actually keep anyone safe.
Washington, D.C., should be the safest place in America. It’s where our leaders work, our monuments shine, and tourists come from all over the world. Instead, it’s turned into a playground for criminals, thanks to open borders, soft-on-crime prosecutors, and so-called “equity” policies that put feelings over facts. Who pays the price? The men and women in blue—shot, attacked, and abandoned.
You have to wonder who these elected officials really care about. Is it the victims and ordinary citizens? Or is it the criminals, who walk free again and again, thanks to liberal district attorneys with a left-wing agenda? America’s cops are under attack, and those in power just wag their fingers and hold press conferences.
Here’s what D.C. really needs: law and order, zero tolerance for crime, and real support for police. Enough with the excuses. Enough with the pandering. How many more officers have to be shot before the left finally admits their “progressive” ideas are killing this country?
