Democrats have a favorite trick: when things go south, point fingers at Republicans. This tired routine was on full display when Colorado’s Jason Crow rushed to the cameras, blaming conservatives for a partial government shutdown. He paraded himself as the champion of his hurting constituents—never mind that his own party was digging in its heels.
For once, the media didn’t let a Democrat off the hook. Imagine that! CBS’s Margaret Brennan pressed Crow about why his own side kept stubbornly supporting the shutdown, even as schools, families, and workers in his own backyard paid the price. We’re supposed to believe Democrats stay up at night worrying about “the people,” but when it comes time to make tough decisions, their political games come first.
Liberals love to talk about empathy. But if you look past the sound bites, it’s all about maintaining power. They know a shutdown hits everyday Americans hardest, yet they’re more interested in grandstanding than solving real problems. Instead of making deals, they blame conservatives for everything—even when reality proves otherwise.
Crow’s word games don’t fool anyone outside the CNN echo chamber. Ordinary Americans are sick of being caught in the crossfire while elites in Washington jockey for soundbites and headlines. Maybe if Democrats actually put country above party, these manufactured crises wouldn’t keep happening.
If even the left-leaning media can see through the charade, isn’t it time voters did too? How many times will Democrats posture as victims while they themselves pull the strings? The American people deserve better than this theater. It’s about time someone on the left faced real questions—and even more time for voters to ask why these charlatans keep getting a pass.
