A young woman in Chicago is dead. Eighteen years old, full of life, and now gone forever. Her name was Sheridan Gorman. She was just a student, out with friends near Lake Michigan—doing what college kids are supposed to do. But instead of planning for her next class, her family is now planning her funeral. Why? Because a violent illegal alien, a so-called “asylum seeker” from Venezuela, had no business being in this country but managed to stroll right in, thanks to Biden’s open border disaster.
Let’s not sugarcoat this. Chicago calls itself a “sanctuary city.” Illinois prides itself on being a so-called “sanctuary state.” But what does that really mean? It means inviting criminals who cross our border illegally to hide out, live off our tax dollars, and, in this case, gun down innocent Americans in the streets. This wasn’t a random accident. This was preventable—if our leaders actually cared more about American lives than pleasing their radical, open-borders buddies.
Where are the politicians now? Where are those who promised us sanctuary cities would be safe? Where is Mayor Johnson? Hiding behind empty words. Where is President Biden? Silent as always when Americans suffer because of their recklessness. You won’t hear the left admit that their policies led to this bloodshed. They’d rather blame anyone else—guns, society, you name it—than point the finger at the real cause: their refusal to enforce the law.
The Biden administration acts like Americans who want secure borders are the problem. They’re more worried about being called “racist” on cable news than stopping violent criminals from walking our streets. Meanwhile, families like Sheridan’s pay the ultimate price. Every law-abiding citizen is a target, while politicians hand out benefits and protection to illegals. Liberals love to lecture us about “compassion.” Where’s the compassion for Sheridan?
How many more Americans have to die before the left wakes up? Or have they decided that some lives just don’t matter when they interfere with their globalist agenda? Sanctuary cities are a joke—except no one’s laughing except the criminals they protect. America deserves better than this deadly experiment. How many more American kids will be sacrificed on the altar of political correctness before liberals admit the truth?
