Texas Democrat wants to scrap travel bans Texans furious over safety risks

Texas Democrats are at it again. This time, Rep. James Talarico, who wants to be the next senator, is demanding an end to President Trump’s travel bans. These were commonsense steps to protect Americans from threats coming out of dangerous, terror-ridden countries. But the left doesn’t care about your safety. They only care about scoring points with their activist pals and globalist elites.

Talarico is following the same tired script that liberals have pushed for years. They scream about “bans” and “walls,” pretending it’s all about compassion—never about keeping Americans safe. These Democrats want open borders, no restrictions, and endless chaos. They’d rather pander to fringe interests than defend the people they claim to represent. Are Texas parents and families supposed to feel safer with no rules and zero security?

For guys like Talarico, the so-called “Muslim ban” is just another chance to virtue signal. But let’s remember why that policy existed in the first place: to stop people from dangerous regions—places that breed terrorism—from sneaking into our country unchecked. But the left twists every effort at security into something evil, ignoring the very real risks. It’s always America last, global interests first.

If Talarico had his way, Texas would become just another soft target—a playground for radicals who see our borders as a joke. The left loves to lecture hard-working citizens about tolerance and inclusion. But when it comes to safety, their hypocrisy shines bright. They’ll bend over backwards to defend foreign threats, but never support the law enforcement officers or border agents risking their lives to protect us.

Maybe Talarico and his friends should take a walk along the border, or talk to families who’ve been hurt by failed immigration policies. But that would mean admitting their open-borders fantasy hurts real Americans. If protecting our nation makes someone “controversial,” then count me in. Should Texas really trust its future to someone who thinks national security is optional?
