In what can only be described as a slap in the face to Florida’s conservative base, Palm Beach County just handed a state House seat to a Democrat health and fitness coach, Emily Gregory, over a proven Republican, Jon Maples. Let’s not kid ourselves—this wasn’t just any district. This is the one that covers Trump’s Mar-a-Lago, where leftists have been longing to draw a political “blue” stain right where it would sting the most.
How did this happen? Republican voters were either asleep at the wheel or they simply didn’t understand what’s at stake. Democrats came out swinging, fueled by left-wing media, Hollywood dollars, and big promises. Emily Gregory, no doubt cheered on by Biden’s army of globalist donors, managed to convince just enough voters that another rubber-stamp for liberal policies was exactly what their community needs.
And while Gregory will pretend she’s “for the people,” it’s the same old Democrat playbook: more big government, more red tape, less freedom. Don’t expect her to stand up to woke special interests or fight for everyday Americans. When the rubber meets the road, she’ll vote with her party—against parents, against small business, and against the America-First agenda.
What happened to the strong red wave that’s supposed to be sweeping across the country? Republicans need to wake up and realize that no seat is safe—not even in Florida, and not even in the shadow of Mar-a-Lago. If conservatives can lose right there, no district is out of reach for these opportunistic Democrats who want nothing more than to undo everything Trump worked for.
This win should be a warning sign to every American who still cares about freedom, prosperity, and true conservative values. If Republicans keep playing nice while liberals organize and scheme, they’ll lose even more ground. The radical left will keep chipping away at the heartland of this nation unless conservative voters get off their couches and fight back.
